Jaeger-lecoultre master grand gyrotourbillon 3

Original painting size: 78 x 115 cm

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3 is an exceptional, limited-edition luxury timepiece renowned for its complex, multi-axial tourbillon and integrated monopusher chronograph with an instantaneous digital minute display. It combines high-end mechanics with rare artisanal techniques.

Key Features and Specifications

The Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3, launched in 2013 for the brand’s 180th anniversary, is a masterpiece of watchmaking artistry.

  • Movement: The watch is powered by the manual-winding JLC Calibre 176, which comprises 592 parts and includes a fully integrated monopusher chronograph mechanism.
  • Gyrotourbillon: The most prominent feature is the multi-axial (two cages rotating in opposite directions at different speeds) flying tourbillon with a spherical balance spring, which compensates for the effects of gravity for enhanced accuracy. The cages are made from lightweight aluminum alloys.
  • Complications: In addition to hours, minutes, and seconds, it features a chronograph with an instantaneous jumping digital minute display on a sub-dial at 9 o’clock, and a day/night indicator at 3 o’clock.
  • Case: The case has a diameter of approximately 43.5 mm and is available in materials such as platinum or pink gold. It features a transparent sapphire crystal case back to admire the movement.
  • Finishing: The watch showcases a combination of various crafts, including hand-guilloché, hand-engraving, and grand feu enamel, with some editions even featuring meteorite inlays.
  • Water Resistance: The watch is water-resistant to 5 bar (50 meters), which is notable for such a complex timepiece.
