The Rolex Deepsea is a professional diving watch that is available with a distinctive D-Blue (blue-black) dial, also known as the “James Cameron” edition. This model is renowned for its extreme water resistance and robust design.

The Rolex Deepsea with the D-Blue dial, featuring reference number 136660 (current model) or the previous 116660/126660, is engineered for extreme depths.
- Water Resistance: Waterproof to a depth of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), made possible by the patented Ringlock System case architecture.
- Case: It has a 44 mm diameter and is crafted from Oystersteel (904L stainless steel), with a case back made of RLX titanium.
- Dial: The unique D-Blue dial features a color gradient from bright blue at the top to deep black at the bottom, a tribute to James Cameron’s historic solo dive to the Mariana Trench. The “Deepsea” inscription is in bright green lettering.
- Movement: The current model (ref. 136660) is equipped with the in-house Calibre 3235, a self-winding mechanical movement with approximately a 70-hour power reserve and a Superlative Chronometer certification (-2/+2 seconds per day accuracy).
- Other Features: The watch features a unidirectional rotatable bezel with a black Cerachrom (ceramic) insert, a Triplock winding crown for triple waterproofness, and an automatic helium escape valve for saturation diving.
